Deem to Satisfy Applications

For Contractors Registered with SSIP Member Schemes

Achieve SSIP certification from CHAS, a Veriforce company and founding member of the SSIP system. Use your SSIP certificate from CHAS to demonstrate that you have met the criteria for all other SSIP members’ schemes — so you won’t have to complete and pay for duplicate assessments. Your SSIP certification also gets you listed on the SSIP portal, allowing you to quickly share your health and safety credentials.

What Is SSIP?

SSIP — which stands for Safety Schemes in Procurement — is not an accreditation in itself. SSIP is an umbrella organisation that pulls together several different health and safety schemes and combines them to create a single certification process: SSIP certification.

SSIP is approved and recognised by the Health and Safety Executive.

CHAS is a founding member of the SSIP community, having been a part of its inception in May 2009. We are an award-winning assessment body that can support your SSIP certification process. Reach out to our team to discuss how we can help you get SSIP certification.

With SSIP you can:

Protect your employees and the public from harm

Improve your credibility as a contractor and win more tenders

Get pre-qualified for contract opportunities with over 2500 clients

Cut out assessment duplication and slash the costs of contract bidding

Work with CHAS to secure your SSIP certification and save time completing multiple pre-qualification questionnaires with different assessment bodies.

How Does SSIP Certification Work?

You do not apply for SSIP certification from SSIP directly. Instead, SSIP sets out the SSIP Assessment Standard (The Core Criteria) and the assessment bodies that are members of SSIP  — like SSIP founding member CHAS — then provide an certification programme that meets those core criteria.

As a contractor, you do not need to join SSIP to obtain SSIP certification. You can achieve SSIP certification by working with a SSIP forum member like CHAS and completing your assessment with us.

When you work with CHAS to achieve SSIP certification, you not only get your valuable SSIP assessment, but you also get access to our membership portal. This includes a range of perks, from discounts and reward programs to access to exclusive tender opportunities.
